Turn Around
So funny that two weeks in a row, my blog has the word “turn” in it, but isn’t this a time of shift? We should always be thinking about this!
Two weeks ago, I went to visit the largest tree in Connecticut, the Pinchot Sycamore in Simsbury. I had just had a brilliant healing session with Nancy Sinchak, and I wanted to connect to the energy of this noteworthy tree. I had driven past it many times, but had not had the opportunity to stop and spend some time with it.
When I got there, there was a car from out of state parked there - the only other car in the lot. A couple was enjoying the tree. Going to different parts of it, taking pictures, etc. I decided not to approach the tree for a couple of reasons - I wanted to respect their space and I wanted my own quiet time. So, I did what I do, and I turned around to see what else was accessible from the lot. Right behind me was another magnificent sycamore. It was not as large, but still quite full of energy, and I enjoyed walking to that tree, looking straight up to the sky through it’s magnificent branches. Next, I saw that the park had a small outlet into the Farmington river, likely for kayak launching. I went over there and enjoyed watching the peaceful flow of the river and the way that the light played through the branches of the trees across the water.
After quite some some, the couple was still at the famous tree, but I left, fulfilled.
