We met in Madrid and entered pilgrimage time and space together on a train from Madrid to Lugo, where we were met by our guide, Jose. Some of us walked 112 km from Sarria and others walked 108 km, but we all made it - walking all the way with little incident of injury, save for a few blisters. The weather was perfect for the walk, and we enjoyed walking together and alone and encountered many Camino miracles. After an exhilarating arrival in Santiago, we enjoyed a day in Compostela, where we saw the magnificent Botafumeiro in the cathedral. On Saturday, our retreat time together ended with a closing ceremony and lunch on the beach. For more details about the trip, please see our blog posts from there. A walk down the Camino is impossible to encapsulate here or in the blogs, but we are grateful that we were able to experience this ineffable place. Life is never the same after a Camino walk, and the insights we have learned will seep into us for days and years to come.

"What an amazing trip! It far exceeded my expectations. Walking the Camino was incredible and magical. Nancy, Angela and Jose were all wonderful guides. Jose's lunches were the best!" Renee H, West Hartford, CT
"It was awesome! You can’t know until you walk it. You can read every book, watch every film, but it cannot transmit the experience of being there & how it transforms something in your soul. Nancy & Angela did an amazing job.” Piper S., West Hartford, CT
Our time on the magical Isle of Iona was rich and enlightening! We had a wonderful group of open hearted pilgrims - ready to take on the expected and the unexpected! Our days were framed by the two services led by the Iona community. Those who chose to gathered in the Abbey to start and end the day with words and song. Early morning activities included group chanting and Reiki with Nancy Murray, hiking and sleeping in. Susan Izard would start us at breakfast sharing a word for the day and a spiritual focal point for us to contemplate as we moved through the day. Every day we would have a guided hike by Scott Bailey, were we explored different parts of the coast of the Island and learned about its amazing geological history. The days ended with yoga, group meetings with sharing and learning, dinner and sunset walks or service.
It is very difficult to encapsulate the experience in a brief narrative, so if you would like more details about the journey, we encourage you to go to our blog, where we journalled each day.

" I loved everything, the wind, rain, cold, sun, hikes, morning time with Nancy, food, accommodations, puffins, rocks, teachings, bus rides, ferry rides, sunsets, rainbows along with the sounds of the waves, birds, and lambs!" Cathi Nelson, West Hartford, CT
"Thank you Nancy, Susan and Scott for a truly memorable vacation. The whole trip was well organized and seamless from the travel to and from Iona, to the cozy accommodations, delicious food and professional staff @ the St Columba Hotel. It was an added bonus to have Scott share his wealth of knowledge, regarding the geology of the island. The daily prayers, yoga, and abbey services were beautiful opportunities to connect with the island and its people on a deeper level. Our evening gathering before dinner was a wonderful way to come back together and share our thoughts and experiences.
I'm grateful to have been able to experience Iona and all its beauty with enthusiastic, experienced guides that shared their favorite beaches and vistas with us. I look forward to another visit to Iona with Deep Peace." Rose Dufour, Branford, CT
"I am grateful that our wonderful leaders built a supportive, affirmative community of Pilgrims. I felt privileged to be part of a group of seekers who had “come away for awhile” to reflect, observe, and grow...
There is something Holy about that experience. A time away, a time to shed our baggage, and a time to hit the reset button. ..
I feel renewed, at peace, and energized...Thanks to our 3 wonderful leaders who guided us through true Pilgrimage. Thanks to all of you for sharing your enthusiasm, hearts, and spirit." Ann Mundy, Westfield, MA
