Don't Make Lemons Out of Lemonade

A couple of weeks ago, I found myself in the rare position of having both of my children at home and we decided to walk to our town’s center to have lunch together. As we were walking down the street, my mind did its usual thing - creating the list of things I should be doing rather than having this lunch out, and then the phrase “When life gives you lemonade, don’t make lemons” popped into my head. Wow! This might seem like a simple phrase, but I have been using it over and over again in the time since then to notice just how many times I have had the habit of somehow sabotaging my enjoyment of the sweetness of life. This is interesting to me as many of you know that I have spent the year studying and teaching how we create blocks against abundance, but somehow this phrase opened up the floodgates of goodness in my life. Any time now that I have caught myself deflecting positivity by noticing a small flaw in some thing, thinking that I am not worthy for some reason, creating a negative story in my mind, I think of the lemonade phrase. It has really made me deepen my practice of lightening up and enjoying life, perfect just the way it is.

I would love to hear what happens with you if you try this practice, too!
