It's a joy to be alive!
This morning seems so long ago! Today we began to make our transition out of retreat time and to move into ordinary time - but not quite yet - one more night with our jungle friends, so I will not get ahead of myself!!
We started with some detailed pranayama instrction and a reiki treatment to deepen ones sense of joy by Nancy M along with a joy meditation by Nancy S. Yoga practice on the topic of limitless lessons from the animals of the jungle found 7 yogis all honoring their perfection with seven beautiful expressions of every posture. Very moving for the yoga guide, I will say!!
Quinoa with fruit was waiting for us for breakfast. We gathered in the dining area to debrief and Nancy S then led us in the creation of "sand paintings." In these, we collected things from the floor of the sanctuary and made mandalas holding our intentions, which we sent out into the universe. We had more free time than usual today so people could decompress. Some walked to one or more of the waterfalls, others had massages, other relaxed by the pool and read.
Hard to believe we met for the last time in the pagoda for our closing ceremony. It was a beautiful end to an amazing and light filled gathering of wise women! We will all carry a part of each other and the jungle in our hearts.
Dinner was a yummy Greek platter. We lingered, chatting and we each received an animal reading from Tanya, the sanctuary's massage therapist. We all have snuggled back to our homes to pack and go to bed as we all have an early morning tomorrow.
Rich jungle blessings to you all.
