Enveloped in love
Alas, as happens when on retreat, today was such a full day! We opened the day offering the idea that we would spend the day practicing loving ourselves and receiving love. Loving kindness to self meditation followed by opening the heart yoga practice. This is a very very difficult exercise and everyone tackled it with grace!
I will try to stop mentioning the food, but it is hard!! I cannot begin to describe how amazing the food is, and so lovingly prepared!! French toast this morning!!
The effect of travels both physical and internal are starting to be felt by all, so we took a lot of time between sessions to just rest. When we gathered again in the morning Nancy Sinchak led us all in a deep journey into the heart. When the meditation was over, we made mandalas based on the experience, then we shared them with the group. We all had to bravely face our own inner critic when the markers and crayons came out, and everyone's mandala was perfectly beautiful. We really enjoyed being visited by some iquanas, monkeys and birds. The wildlife here is so beautiful!
Another delicious meal, followed by a fascinating story by Naga, the Sanctuary's founder, about how he visioned and built this amazing place of transformation.
Free time, and we all did various things including swimming, resting in our hammocks, hiking down to the beach....
Evening yoga practice, dinner and then we chanted to connect us with infinite divine love under the blanket of the stars.
